After leaving my job at an acting agency at the end of June I suddenly find myself in the same position that i was in last year - however probably with even less money.
However what I do have this time round is more experience and more of an idea of what I may end up doing with my life. After leaving Uni I thought i wanted to be an agent and this was going to be my career path and after much deliberation and rejection I finally got my break on work experience at a firm. However I realised the harsh realities of the real world when my job was a dead end job - when the boss goes to go you "you are the bottom of the bottom rung, there is no better job I can give you at this firm" i felt it was time to move on.
I was fed up of being poor the whole time and living in London , i realised I wanted to earn lots of money and after doing a few days in the city I realised this is probably where my future is going to lie.
One thing I noticed about many of the city jobs is that many of them favoured employees who spoke another language. This is when it dawned on me that due to the high levels of unemployment in the UK at the moment this could be a perfect time for me to go overseas and learn Spanish. And hence the beginning of this blog which is going to document the next few months of my life which will hopefully result in me learning spanish and possibly teaching in South America and then coming back to england later this year where hopefully I will be in a better position to get a job with my new language and new experiences.
Thats the plan anyway we will see what happens .....(I say this writing in my parents living room waiting for my playstation to download and update)!
